This exquisite matryoshka doll (aka babushka dolls or Russian nesting dolls) comes directly from Moscow. Its intricate ornaments will satisfy the most demanding collector.

It contains 5 stackable figurines (nesting dolls) crafted of wood, skillfully hand painted and varnished with gloss finish. The dolls are signed by the artist. The dolls are all hollow except the smallest one, and can hide one inside another. The tallest figurine is about 4 3/4 inches.

The painted scene is from Rusian fairy tale "The Frog Princess".
